Ratemynetwork diagram.com is as dorky as it sounds. As dorky as it gets even. You create a network diagram and then upload it. People browse the diagrams and rate them for legibility and proper network layout. It’s all there to help others create better network diagrams. What’s really interesting about it is that if you take a look at the home network diagrams you’re looking into the future wired(less) home. These people are the early adopters creating networks and subnetworks for Media consoles, VoIP phones, Home offices, Network Printers, Gaming consoles, cell phones, and friends who drop by to connect to the network over coffee. It all sounds a bit dorky for now, fair enough, but when you’re at someones house in 5 years and you share your favorite music video/movie/tv show through their Plasma from your phone it will be pretty cool that the dorks were working on it today. Even better when your house call the fire department before it burns down while your phone shows you the safest exit.
